I posted this originally to my other blog, but I decided that it would be appropriate to paste this post into this blog as well. And remember to enjoy your freedoms that our armed forces protect for us.
I would like to take a moment to take a moment to reflect on the disturbing event that took place seven years ago today. It does not seem like it has been that long since this happened, and I still to this day remember where I was and what I was doing. I remember seeing at least one of the planes hit on live television (pretty sure it was the second plane.) I remember also that this was one of the few times I have agreed with George Bush or his actions. His decided military action in Afghanistan was highly warranted, and I hope that some sort of meaningful thing that is positive still yet comes from it, and the war in Iraq, despite my reservations on supporting it. I would hope that you would take time out of your day to think about those who are serving our country abroad, regardless on your positions on war in general or the wars in which we are currently participating in. Our armed services give us the ability to have our freedoms in which we enjoy, and help to keep the American Dream alive and well.
