Democrats for President

I'm hoping this brawl for the democratic presidential nominee is going to wind down soon. I've followed a daily barrage of crap from both sides. Black people are mad because they have a black man running, and the wife of a man they dearly loved. How to choose? How can you be sane if you're black and not vote for the black man? I have to wonder how many times this has been said. I can't say, where I live currently is a place where black people are few and far between (what a shame, I really despise country music and thats all these hilljack white folks play), and then theres women that are torn between the young, hip Obama, and their chances for a woman president.
In all fairness, my highly liberal views would be all too happy to see these people become part of the mainstream. People are people, what does it matter if it is a man or woman, black, white, purple or blue? I just don't think that we were ready for this quite yet. Perhaps we should've limited ourselves to one major advance at a time. I fear the party that I stand behind is crumbling in front of me. Everyone wants their person first, and theirs only. I fear that the only way to recover the divide in the party is for the two to join forces and take the nation by storm.  I have to disagree with, first, Mr. Obama. I don't care if I have to choose, I still want both. Can I not choose which one is president and which one is vice president? I also have to disagree with Nancy Pelosi. I don't think at this point that it matters what you think on this. Traditionally, it has been the nominee's choice of their VP. But in these desperate times, to get out from under ruinous republican rule, whoever that comes out on top must suck it up and do what's best for the party. It's shown in the polls that many Obama supporters and Clinton supporters will not vote at all for the other, either by not voting or even worse, voting for McCain (even though I must say Mr. McCain is the best of the Repub. prospects we had this cycle, in my opinion).
I won't mince words and I won't claim unbiased opinion either. I am an avid Clinton supporter, and I do think that if both should be on the ticket, that perhaps Clinton should be on top. She's older and been in the game longer. Let her have her own time, then we can have a nice seasoned Obama in as president later. I really do like both candidates, and would like to see them both hit the oval office at some point. If this does not come to pass that both get on the ticket, I have only one question (and no doubt it will piss off some hardcore dems): Is Ralph Nader running yet?
